Zen Haiku for Autumn
While they are away
Leaves pile up
In the garden of the gods.
Basho
The mountain stream
Milled the rice for me
While I took a nap.
Issa
Oh leaves, ask the wind which of you
Will be the first to fall.
Soseki
Along this path
Is none but I
This autumn eve.
Basho
Great Buddha
Even while sleeping
Gets flowers and gold.
Issa
