" What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life tomorrow." The Buddha

I have been reading "Into the Magic Shop " by Dr. J. Doty ( in the photo above with the Dali Lama).
His life story is truly fascinating, a journey from poverty to becoming a neurosurgeon a millionaire and ultimately learning the importance of the journey from the head to the heart.
Into The Magic shop is a testament to the power of our minds to create and also the importance of the heart's wisdom in really finding life's treasures.
I loved the book, here below is a little taste of  Dr.Jim.

Autumn Moon

                             The autumn moon

                             Shinning so brightly

                             So I wrote this.

                                                  Sekki

                            Watched the moon without tiring

                            Not once nor twice.

                                                  Kigin

                           A bank of clouds

                           Bears the moon upon it.

Openng The Heart

There are so many ways into the Heart.

Spending some time wandering among trees never fails to open my Heart.

The soft nourishing energy in this moss and fern 'cave' in Powerscourt Japasese garden calmed my mind and awakened the peace I experience during deep meditation.

The music of falling water,

In this moist green space felt healing to my Heart.

And opened me even more to the beauty of Powerscourt.
